Program Content Development
X PRIZE Foundation incentive2innovate
CA Communications Consultants was tapped by the X PRIZE Foundation to help direct the program content for the 2009 incentive2innovate (i2i) conference.
The conference took place in June 2009 at the United Nations and provided an opportunity for around 300 C-Level executives learn from and interact with some of the leading innovators in government, business and philanthropy. Hosted by the X PRIZE Foundation, they were presented with case studies and insights on how to use two powerful but under-utilized innovation tools: Open Collaboration and Incentivized Competition. Attendees were also able to participate directly with speakers in this unique conference through the Q&A sessions as well as in the breakout discussions lead by the panelists.
Content Development
The X PRIZE Foundation partnered with CA Communications to help produce the content for i2i, ensuring that the high-level participants got value out of every session and that the overall conference achieved the objectives set forth by the X PRIZE and the conference sponsors. The CA Communications team worked with each panelist, moderator, and speaker to direct the content of every session. In order to make this possible, we worked closely The X PRIZE Foundation and their sponsors to design an agenda that made the most out of the invited experts, while allowing maximum opportunities for participation with and among participants.
Connecting Content to Event Production
CA Communications worked closely with Linder & Associates—the event management company—and X PRIZE Foundation event managers and creative producers to align the content and desired outcomes with the necessary logistics and production elements. During the event, the CA Communications team supported the X PRIZE Foundation by preparing remarks for all Foundation speakers, conducting on-site briefings for all panelists and moderators, managing stage choreography, and producing and managing on-screen graphics content.
Interactive Marketing
LeadWithClarity.com Website and Email Engagement
CA Communications Consultants has enjoyed a long partnership with Business Coaching & Consulting, Inc. (BC&C)—a boutique business and leadership coaching firm. Recently, CA Communications helped BC&C launch a new website and interactive marketing campaign designed to add value to their client's leadership development, provide a forum for them to learn what their clients want and need, and ultimately create a stronger connection that leads to increased business.
Message & Image - LeadWithClarity.com
Central to any re-branding is the message and imagery. We worked closely with the team at BC&C to develop a new online visual brand around "Lead With Clarity." More importantly, we worked with them to assess what "Lead With Clarity" meant and how best to communicate that online. We worked closely to re-write everything from the description of their core philosophy, which we made more central to their online presence, to the language used to describe their services, their company, and even their biographies.
Delivery - Interactive Lead With Clarity Discussion
To truly deliver on the brand promise that BC&C had established, CA Communications helped them develop an interactive marketing strategy that drove their current and prospective clients to the new website to learn from each other and establish a stronger connection through BC&C. We developed and helped execute an ongoing email marketing campaign that shares a leadership story every week with a growing list of current and prospective clients. The email encourages readers to then go online to "Share one way you Lead With Clarity." The discussion has generated very positive client feedback and each week's story has created new client-leads as well as generated additional business from current clients.
Live Event Production
Western Region Leadership Conference (WRLC)
Washington DECA partnered with CA Communications Consultants to help develop the message, create the imagery, and produce the general sessions for the 2007 Western Region Leadership Conference (WRLC) in Seattle, WA. On November 17 - 20, over 2,700 high school students from 11 western states and territories, including Guam, convened at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, Washington for three days of dynamic keynotes, interactive workshops and tours of Seattle-based companies.
Message
Washington DECA's student leaders chose the theme "Impact" for the 2007-2008 school year. Washington DECA then asked CA to help craft a message that incorporated the leadership, marketing, business, and entrepreneurial education goals of the organization into the theme "Impact" while remaining relevant to high school students. We developed a message based on "Impacting the Future;" incorporating both the impact that the conference and DECA has on the future of the attendees, and the impact that the attendees will themselves have on the future. We drew on historical examples of inventions, movements and leaders who had an impact, and we asked DECA members to take one thing away from the conference that would help them make an impact.
Image
Beginning many months before the conference, CA worked with Washington DECA to develop a poster-modern industrial look for the print and video media surrounding the conference. We saw the opportunity to take Washington DECA's vision of a 'hard-hitting' IMPACT theme and craft it into something that was slick and post-modern appearing. We carried this image through the pre-conference promotional posters and video and applied it on-site through the conference program, name badges, t-shirts, and of course, the on-screen motion graphics during the general sessions.
Delivery
Leading up to the Western Region Leadership Conference, CA Communications Consultants developed scripts for the general sessions, developed special video segments, and coordinated with keynote speakers and other VIP presenters.
During the conference CA—in association with partner firms Deluge Productions and Digital Expressions— produced three live general sessions for the over 2,700 conference attendees. Additionally, we produced a number of on-site video segments, including: a fun spoof staring four DECA members to highlight their professional conduct code for the weekend; a closing session intro video featuring many interviews with a wide range of attendees; and finally a Rewind video to recap the conference and capture all of the highlights.
